You may roundup your bill to the next dollar or pledge a donation of $1 or more each month by clicking on the link above. LP&L will add your rounded up amount or pledge amount to your bill each month. Pledges may be canceled at any time simply by calling LP&L at 775-2509. The donations collected will go into a fund administered by Project Helping Hand through our community partner to help the needy pay their utility bills. Your donations will be reported to you each year on your January LP&L bill statement for tax purposes.
The Project Helping Hand fund is currently administered by Catholic Family Services. Customers needing help paying their utility bill can contact Catholic Family Services at (806) 765-8475 for more information.
The two programs are outlined as follows:
You may elect to Round Up your total LP&L bill. Round Up simply rounds up your total LP&L bill to the nearest dollar. It is easy to sign up for this automated service. The program is designed so that if your total LP&L bill is $80.80, the bill you receive would be rounded up to a an even $81.00 and the additional .20 cents you pay is transferred into the Project Helping Hand fund for distribution to qualified applicants.
You may prefer to Pledge a set amount each month. The Pledge allows you to elect a specified amount to be added to your bill each month. It is easy to sign up for this automated service. The program is designed so that if your total LP&L bill is $80.00 and you elect to pledge $1 a month, the bill you would receive would be for $81.00. The additional $1 would be transferred to the Project Helping Hand fund for distribution to qualified applicants.
Pledges may be canceled at any time by calling (806) 775-2509.
