Convert incandescent bulbs to fluorescent lamps with screw-in bases.

Fluorescent lights give the same amount and quality of light as incandescent bulbs, yet use one third of the energy and last ten times longer. Or, use low-wattage incandescent light bulbs.

Also consider using LED lights which are being more available in Lubbock to save even more than fluorescent bulbs.
