Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) Reminds Customers Of Simple
Solutions To Lesson The Impact Of Sever Weather
Lubbock, TX -
Lubbock
Power & Light reminds our customers to be aware a few simple solutions to
lessen the impact of severe weather conditions. Solutions to consider
include: not using open source flame heat sources, rearranging rooms so
that sitting and sleeping areas are near interior walls, closing fire
place dampers when not in use and only using portable generators that are
connected directly to the appliances, heaters, etc. so that they are
isolated or not plugged into the home’s electrical outlet. If you
experience a power outage lasting more than five minutes please notify our
24-hour Operations Center at (806) 775-2555 to report your outage. At
times the Operations Center may experience heavy call volumes, so please
have patience. LP&L also recommends that you turn on exterior lights, so
that when your electricity service is restored our field crews will be
able to confirm your electricity service has been restored. With your help
and implementing these simple solutions the impact of sever weather
conditions will have less of an impact on our customers and our operations
to ensure you continue to have the Home Owned Advantage of reliable
electricity provided by your friends and neighbors at Lubbock Power &
Light.
